Vibrant colours, flowey structure, exposed midriffs, metal(lic) hardware-inspired details, fashion fluidity … just a few phrases to describe the NYFW AW19 Amehl “Love Handles” Fashion Show held at the Garber Hardware 1884 store downtown in Greenwich Village, NYC on Monday evening February 4th 2019.
With such a vividly imagined fashionably gender fluid collection set to edgy runway music, it made perfect sense to employ the allures of a hardware store to complete the trifecta! Amanda Mehl created a wonderland of spectacular art curation with her latest showing, oscillating between flowey structure & structured flow clearly drawing inspiration from the very landmarked hardware setting the show took place in!
Utilizing a broad colour palette paired with bold metal(lic) nuanced details & bare midriffs while closing down the show with a ferocious ball-inspired runway walk by model Tommy Playboy, the Children are going to armed & ready for this year’s upcoming Autumn/Winter festivities thanks to the imagination of Amanda Mehl, kudos to you #Khqueen!!!
