One of my favorite experiences this fashion week was attending Fashion Palette SS2020. The international runway platform for Australian labels. Sitting Front row directly across from Miss J.Alexander was extra icing on the cake, watching the six Australian designers featured was the real treat.
Of all seven designers that presented Made With Love Bridal and Portia & Scarlett dazzled me the most. Both the bridal and occasion wear collections showcased traditional white, amidst light hues. Made With Love held a subtle elegance, a clean and minimal esthetic. Although a more simple take on bridal gowns, the lack of gaudiness was refreshing. The Joey gown, with a signature feminine bow back detail is one to remember. While the Max detachable off the shoulder adjustment sleeve presented a unique concept.
On the opposite spectrum Portia & Scarlett was the personification of glamour. The pageant collection was everything I imagined and more. Endless bling, high slits, feather details sheer fabrics, asymmetrically hems, and did I mention bling? This collection is for any woman who loves making a statement, on or off stage. I am absolutely obsessed with Portia & Scarlett. Thank you Fashion Palette for catapulting them onto the New York Fashion Week platform.
