Son Jung Wan brought us back “Into the Nineties” with her NYFW Fall 2023 collection. That was the theme of the designer’s line where she showcased faux fur and iridescent fabrics. The asymmetrical silhouettes gave off a futuristic vibe, while the tones and textures of the fabrics solidified the aesthetics. This modern interpretation of the nineties minimalism was well executed.
Her ability to design a womenswear and menswear collection that just works together well is unprecedented! As someone who likes wearing menswear pieces, it’s easy to marry both genders with this line. I would describe Son Jung Wan’s approach this season, as cohesive, with a hint of glamour and a little edge and softness. Kudos on another brilliant collection!
